FAQ
What type of photography do you specialize in?
I specialize in portrait, event, lifestyle, and commercial photography, but I am open to shooting other types of photography as well.
Do you travel?
No, at this moment I shoot locally only in Austin, Texas.
You took a bunch of photos, can I have them all?
I take multiple shots for various reasons: ensuring perfect focus, accounting for blinking, and experimenting with settings for the ideal shot. Afterward, I invest time and effort into editing to make them great. You can trust that I provide the best. The number of photos you receive depends on the chosen package, but I ensure they're unique and not repetitive. Your moments matter to me.
Do you edit all the photos you give me? Can I also get the original, unedited versions?
I shoot in RAW format, which is different from regular JPEG images. RAWs don't represent the photographer's vision and unique style. Each photo I provide is handpicked and edited to match my unique style. I don't give out unedited images or RAW files.
I don't like how you edited the photos. They seem too warm or cold for my taste. I don't like the color. Can you re-edit all the photos and send them back?
Editing photos is personal. I get that my style might not be your thing and I respect that. Photography is an art, and every photographer has a unique style they've developed over the years. It's not usual to ask for precise edits. That's why it's important to check a photographer's portfolio before hiring to see if their style matches what you want. Sorry, I don't re-edit photos once I deliver.
Why do your photos look different from some photos in your portfolio that I really liked?
Photographs exhibit differences due to the time of day, lighting variations, shadows, and brightness levels. Indoor and outdoor environments, along with venue decor, affect the overall atmosphere of the images. Skin tones can shift under different lighting conditions. These elements collectively shape the mood and visual aesthetics of each photograph, ensuring that every image captures a unique moment and the essence of the scene.
Why do your photos look weird on my monitor?
Photos can appear unusual on your computer screen for a few reasons. Inaccurate screen colors can be corrected by adjusting color settings. Ensure the picture size matches your screen to avoid stretching or cropping. Keep consistent room lighting. Old, faulty screens can also impact image quality; consider replacing them for better results.
Do you provide unedited RAWs?
RAW files are unprocessed digital negatives that require post-processing to bring out the best in the image. RAW files are not print-ready and require specialized software and knowledge to edit. Photographers are experts in their field and want to deliver the best possible final images to their clients. By not providing RAW files, photographers protect their clients from the frustration of attempting to edit the images themselves without proper skills and equipment.
I will give you more money, can I have all the RAW files?
Photographers keep RAW files to protect their work, clients, and copyrights. They give clients the best-edited photos, keeping their reputation and brand strong. As a client, it's important to know why they don't share RAW files. It's very important to choose a photographer who values their work and clients for the best results and service quality.
Do you bring your own lighting equipment?
Yes, I bring my own lighting equipment, including studio lights and reflectors, to ensure that I can capture high-quality images, no matter the lighting conditions.
Can I provide my own props or locations for the photoshoot?
Yes, you can provide your own props or locations for the photoshoot, and I am always open to new ideas and concepts.
